Students continue stir, stage demo

Puducherry, July 13 (UNI) Students of Thavalakuppam government high school here continued to boycott classes for the third day today, and held a demonstration in front of the school to press their demands.

According to students representatives, they had submitted a 11-point charter of demands to the principal, including provision of basic amenities and lab facilities.

This led to a skrimish between the students and teachers following which the students, who submitted the demand to the principal were sent out of the school asking to bring their parents.

However, even after bringing their parents, the teachers reportedly failed to hold discussions with them to sort out the problems.

Agitated over this, the students resorted to the agitation.
