Mumbai: Rupee opens at 40.48/50 per USD

Mumbai, July 13: The Indian Rupee today opened at Rs 40.48/50 per USD from its previous close of Rs 40.49/50. After making a firm start, the local currency traded further at a higher level of Rs 40.46/47 per USD before trading at the opening level, forex dealers said.
