RPF DIG Rawal released on bail

New Delhi, July 13 (UNI) DIG RPF P J Rawal, accused of molesting the wife of an IPS officer in a train, was arrested and later released on bail here today.

After carried out raids at several places including trains leaving Bihar over the past three days P J Rawal was arrested at his office in the national capital and then granted bail by the investigation officer of the case.

Warrant of arrest against Rawal was issued under section 354 (assault or criminal force to women with intent to outrage her modesty) on July 11 by Railway Megistrate, Patna, K K Singh on the complaint of Sujata Prevasi, wife of Gautam Cheema, a Punjab Cadre IPS officer, that he had tried to outrage her modesty under the influence of liquor in Patna-bound Sampoorna Kranti Express on night of July eight.
