PIOs for Panchayat Department

Chandigarh, July 13 (UNI) The Haryana government has issued orders to designate Appellate Authority and Public Information Officers of the Panchayat Department under the Right to Information Act, 2005 in order to facilitate the people to have easy access to information.

A spokesman for the Panchayat Department said the Appellate Authority and Public Information Officer or Gram Panchayat would be the concerned District Development and Panchayat Officer and Block Development and Panchayat Officer respectively.

Similarly, the Additional Deputy Commissioner and District Development and Panchayat Officer concerned would be Appellate Authority and Public Information Officers for Blocks and Districts respectively.

He said for State Headquarter the Appellate Authority and Public Information Officers would be Director Panchayat and Joint Director Panchayat respectively.
