UP: Hardened criminal attempts suicide

Allahabad, July 13: A hardened criminal attempted to commit suicide late last night in the Karnal Ganj police station here, police said today.

According to police sources, notorious criminal Manu Pasi was lodged in the jail for murder, attempt to murder, loot, rape and other such heinous crimes.

He made the suicidal attempt in the toilet of the police station premises, where he suffered severe burnt injuries and was immediately admitted to Beli hospital.
