Four charred to death as lorries collide

Chennai, July 13 (UNI) Four people were charred to death and three others injured when two lorries collided and caught fire at M N Pudupatti in Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu early this morning.

Reports received at the police headquarters here said the incident occurred around 0445 hrs when a onion-loaded lorry head on collided with a sand-laden lorry.

Both the lorries caught fire and were completely destroyed. The deceased included the drivers of the ill-fated vehicles and two others.

Three others, who sustained injuries, were admitted to a hospital.
