Foreign reserves moves up to $214.835 billion

Mumbai, July 13 (UNI) Country's foreign reserves went up by 1.3 billion dollars over the last week and has reached 214.835 billion dollars, said Reserve bank in its weekly statistical report.

Foreign currency assets have gone up by 1.471 billion dollars and is at 207.585 billion dollars from the past week margin of 206.114 billion dollars. Meanwhile, gold reserves diminished slightly to 6.78 billion dollars from 6.9 billion dollars last week.

Reserve position in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) registered an upward move to 462 million dollars from 460 million dollars last week.

Scheduled banks this week improved the aggregate deposits to Rs 27,02,859 crore from Rs 26,68,187 crore in last week.

The foreign currency assets expressed in dollar terms includes the effect of appreciation or depreciation of major world currencies.
