Sony posts 26 pc growth in quarter sales

Mumbai, July 12: Sony India sales revenue went up by 26 per cent to Rs 596 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 from Rs 472 crore in the corresponding period past year.

Company has attributed the quarter gains to a solid business performance and aggressive customer focussed strategy met in vibrant product categories like Bravia LCD TVs, Cyber-shot and Handycam digital products, VAIO Notebooks and Gaming console business, a release said.

Sony has its footprint across India and has a distribution network over 7000 dealers and distributors. The company has 250 exclusive outlets and 21 direct branch locations in the country, a release added.
