R P Infosystems explores WAsia, EAfrica markets
New Delhi, July 12: Kolkata-based R P Infosystems today said theywould strengthen their export services to the West Asia and EastAfrican countries along with SAARC countries.
''We already have offices in Nepal and Bangladesh along with adistribution system in place. Now, we are targeting the rest of theSAARC countries along with West Asia (Middle East) and the East Africancountries,'' said company Chairman Kaustav Ray.
The company's current export value is to the tune of Rs 10 crorefrom Nepal and Bangladesh. ''We have acquired offices in Dubai and willsoon start operations,'' Mr Ray said, adding that the east Africanregion would to be a major market for computer components.
The company is also mulling to start its own retail chain for itscomputer brand, 'Chirag'. ''We will not tie-up with any players butrather start our own chain, based on the franchisee model. It will havean investment of about Rs 15-20 crore but will have to wait untill weregister a national presence,'' said Mr Ray.
The company has a strong hold in eastern India and is seeking a national presence in northern and western regions.
R P Infosystems will also foray into the BPO-business and is intalks with various companies in the US for procuring business. ''It wilbe either back-end operations or support. The investment will besubstantial but will depend on the kind of service. The business planis in the pipeline but it will start materialising only during the nextfiscal,'' added Mr Ray.
