Planning Commission Advisor visits Nagaland
Kohima, July 12: Senior Advisor of the Planning Commission of India Jayati Chandra is currently visiting Nagaland on a three-day visit to the state.
According to official sources here today Mrs Chandra arrived at Dimapur yesterday, from where she proceeded to Kohima. At Kohima she will have a meeting with the Administrative Heads and Heads of the Departments today to review various projects and schemes being implemented in the state.
Nagaland Joint Development commission Temsuwati had already informed at the concerned official to attend the meeting with their detailed reports.
Mrs Chandra would also visit Khonoma village near here today to see the Cardamom Nursery, Stockmen Centre, village Development Board activities and communitization activities of Schools, power and health in the village.
Incidentally, the Nagaland Government had introduced the Communitisation in education, power and health sectors, where the village communitization bodies will look afte the schools, power distributions and heal centres.
