Israel strike hits two Gaza militants: Palestinians
Gaza, July 12: At least two Palestinian militants were seriously wounded by an Israeli missile strike as gunmen battled with troops in the Gaza Strip today, Palestinian medical staff and militants said.
The Israeli army was checking details of the reports which said that an undercover unit had come under attack during a raid near the al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Gaza hospital officials confirmed two Palestinian militants were being treated for serious wounds.
The Palestinian reports said the two militants, members of the Islamic Jihad militant group, were hit during an exchange of fire with Israeli forces as fighting continued in the area in early morning hours.
