Functioning in J'khand universities hampered due to strike
Ranchi, July 12 (UNI) Functioning in all the constituent colleges throughout the state has been paralysed due to ongoing indefinite strike by the university employees which began on July 10.
Besides, academic process and admission procedure holding examination had been adversely affected as over 4000 staff members from all the three Universities - Ranchi University, Vinobha Bhave University and Siddhu Kanhu University joined the indefinite strike.
The agitation had been called in support of their 20-point charter of demands which includes implementation of Central pay scale and benefits of Assured Career Progression (ACP).
Secretary of University's non-teaching employees Kanhayia Mishra said the state government was lenient towards their demands which forced them to launch such an agitation adding the strike would continue till their demands were fulfilled.
Other demands include increasing Dearness Allowance and prohibition to fourth grade employees on the basis of higher qualifications.
