Former SP MLA granted bail

Sultanpur, July 12 (UNI) Former Samajwadi Party MLA Safdar Raza Khan was today granted bail in an 11-year-old kidnapping case.

Official sources said here, the SP leader and former MLA from Chaanda area had submitted a bail application in the court of District and Sessions Judge Chandrabhal Srivastava.

On June 16, 1996, Ramshabd Yadav had lodged a case against three people, including Khan for kidnapping and assault.

Three months back, a non-bailable warrant was issued against Khan, who surrendered before the court yesterday and later sent in jail under judicial custody.
