CM to head Infrastructure Development Corporation
Panaji, July 12 (UNI) Chief Minister Digambar Kamat will be the new chairman of the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) in place of former chief minister Pratapsinh Rane with immediate effect.
Traditionally, the GSIDC had been headed by respective chief ministers, who would also be one among its board of directors.
The appointment was made in accordance with the Article 18(a) of the the Articles of Association of the Corporation, a gazette notification said here today.
Meanwhile, the government has reconstituted the Goa Industrial Development Corporation with Chandrakant R Kavlekar, an MLA from Quepem, as its chairman.
Parliamentary secretary Agnelo Fernandes, an MLA from Calangute, was appointed as chairman of the Economic Development Corporation with immediate effect.
Goa Governor S C Jamir, in another notification, re-appointed Subodh Shrikanta Kantak as Advocate General of the state today.
