C-DAC will need more time to decode Kafeel's hard disk

Bangalore, July 12 (UNI) the Centre for development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) would take more time to crack the high-capacity hard disc recovered from the residence of Glasgow Airport main accused Kafeel Ahmed.

Officials sources said that the experts needed some time to retrive about more than 15,000 files which were supposed to be saved inside the disc.

Meanwhile Karnataka Director General of Police K R Srinivasan today said that the police were studying possibility of Kafeel having nexus with extremist organisation or whether he had influenced young men to take up unlawful activities.

"Whoever disturbs peace will be dealt with and any organisation that acts against the national interests will be watched and brought to the book. Any one can hold meeting which is constitutionally valid. If one try to break any law, he would be punished," he said.

Meanwhile, city police sources said today said that Australian police had not approached them till now for any information.

An Australian Federal Police (AFP) official was camping in New Delhi since nearly four days but was yet to arrive in the city. The Australian police had arrested Mohammed Haneef, a doctor belonging to the city working in Gold Coast Hospital in Brisbane.

The Indian government had reportedly insisted on the AFP to come through proper channel like getting a letter rogetory issued by a competent court in that country.
