Bajaj Auto Q1 net dips 14 per cent
New Delhi, July 12: Country's second-largest motorcycle maker Bajaj Auto Ltd today said it has posted a 14 per cent decline in its net profit at Rs 226.47 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 as against Rs 266.01 crore for the same period last year.
The total income of the company also receded from Rs 2,297.22 crore for Q1FY06 as compared to Rs 2,211.8 crore in Q1FY07, a statement said.
The consolidated net sales decreased from Rs 2,294.28 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 2,206.43 crore during the corresponding period previous year.
