Two suspects in 2005 London bomb plot face retrial
LONDON, July 11 (Reuters) Two men charged in connection with failed suicide bombing attacks on London's transport system on July 21, 2005 are to face a retrial, prosecutors said today.
Prosecutors told Woolwich Crown Court in London they would seek a second trial against Manfo Kwaku Asiedu and Adel Yahya, after the jury failed to reach a verdict during the initial hearings, which ended yesterday.
Four other men, Muktah Said Ibrahim, Yassin Hassan Omar, Ramzi Mohammed and Hussein Osman, were found guilty on Monday of conspiracy to murder in connection with the botched attacks, which took place two weeks after the July 7 bombings.
