RBI Gov congratulates MK for best Fin Mngt

Chennai, July 11: Reserve Bank of India governor Y V Reddy todaycongratulated Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi for the state'sbest financial management. Mr Reddy, who called on the Chief Minister at the secretariathere, also expressed happiness over Tamil Nadu, being at top in creditdeposit ratio, an official release here said.

Accepting Mr Karunanidhi's plea, Mr Reddy said the RBI would soonissue orders for setting up Regional Rural Banks in all districtheadquarters in the state.

The Chief Minister wanted RBI to continue the steps being taken to check price rise, the release added.
