Puducherry: CPI volunteers held

Puducherry, July 11: As many as 60 volunteers of the Communist Party of India (CPI) were arrested when they put up a road blockade at Thavalakuppam near here today to press their demands.

They demanded among other things traffic signal at Abishegampakkam-Thavalakuppam Junction, construction of underground sewerage and setting up of modern vegetable and fish markets.
