Infosys denies rumour on Cap Gemini acquisition

Bangalore, July 11: Indian software major Infosys today deniedtakeover of French IT consulting firm Cap Gemini and brushed reports tothis effect as rumours.

Talking to newsmen at the announcement of the first quarterresults of the company, Infosys CEO and Managing Director SGopalakrishnan said ''we cannot comment on rumours''.

Stating that Infosys was keen on acquisitions, he said it was open for companies both within the country and outside.

Replying to a question he said that subsidiary Infosys Consultingwould continue to be in red for th next three to four quarters as itwas still in investment mode. The loss had come down substantially from10 million dollars to one million dollars, he added.
