Hardcore maoist surrendered in AP

Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, July 11 (UNI) Maoist S Ravindra Babu, who was involved in nine with the police, four blast cases and carried a reward of Rs 50,000 surrendered before the Superintendent of Police Mahesh Chandra here today.

Talking to newspersons, Mr Chandra said all cases against him would be withdrawn, the reward amount would be paid to him and the government would help in his rehablitation.

Though Ravindra Babu had surrendered for health reasons, he had nursed a grievance that the maoist leadership did not take him into confidence while chalking out the party programmes.

''I do not know what was the thinking of the party leadership, except carrying out its commands blindly,'' he observed.
