Cong MLA threatens indefinite strike
Hyderabad, July 11 (UNI) Senior Congress Leader and MLA P Janardhana Reddy today threatened to go on an indefinite hunger stirke from Monday, if the police failed to arrest the Chief Minister's brother and his son in Sunday's road incident involving members of both the families.
Talking to newspersons here along with MLA M Sasidhar Reddy MLA, he said the registering of attempt to murder case under section 307 against his son and his son-in-law was politically motived and demanded similar charges and arrest of Chief Minister's brother Ravinder Reddy and his son, who created problem for their family members.
Mr Janardhan Reddy's son and son-in-law were arrested under the charges of attempt to murder and sent for judicial remand. However, both were relased on bail yesterday.
He also demanded the immediate suspension of West Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Madhusudhana Reddy who allegedly treated him and his family members as 'criminals'.
''What is the fate of a common man when the police cannot do justice to an MLA and his family members'' he said.
Sasidhar Reddy also demanded the immediate arrest of the Chief Minster's brother and son-in-law on the similar charges framed against the family members of Janardhan Reddy, besies suspension of West Zone Deputy Police Commissioner.
