Assistant Consolidation officer caught accepting bribe

Ghazipur, July 11 (UNI) An Assistant Consolidation Officer was caught red handed while taking a bribe here today.

Acting on a tip-off, a Vigilance team from Varanasi caught Hardev Gupta while accepting Rs 20,000 as bribe from a Gram Pradhan in Saklenabad area, police said.

Later, the accused was handed over to the Kotwali police.

Investigations were on.
