43 persons affected with gastroenteritis

Gulbarga, Jul 11 (UNI) As many as 43 persons are reported to be affected with gastroenteritis at Yadgir taluk during the last four days.

Health officials said 39 persons from Basaranna Thanda and four from Sourashtralli were suffering from the epidemic.

Contaminated drinking water was said to be the reason for outbreak of the epidemic.

A team of doctors had visited the affected areas and collected water samples for examination, the officials added.
