Two men, killed in road accident

Bhiwani, July 10 (UNI) Two people were killed in a collision between a trawler and a truck on Dadri Road near village Kitlana in this district.

According to sources, some social activists, on getting information that a dumper from Rajasthan transporting cows was passing through here, decided to stop the vehicle by chasing it on a trawler.

When the trawler tried to overtake the dumper, the vehicles collided, resulting in the death of one man travelling in the trawler on the spot. Of the three others injured, one succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Kuldip, a resident of Saral village and Bijender of village Jogian of this district.

The 26 cows being transported in the dumper, 8 died on the spot while 10 were injured.

The driver of the dumper was absconding.

The local residents blocked the road and shouted slogans against the administration.

The police and local officials rushed to the spot on getting the news and managed to disperse the crowd with assuarance of a probe into the matter.
