Two inter-state robbers nabbed in Haryana
Kaithal, July 10 (UNI) Two armed robbers were arrested by police from near Kathwar village on Kaithal- Kurukshetra road last night.
SP Rajinder Singh said here today that preliminary interrogation of arrested youths revealed that they had committed crimes in some other states also.
Both were produced in a local court today and sent in 14 days Judicial custody, he said.
The SP said that on a tip-off that that two persons armed with pistols were making preparations to loot passing vehicles near Kathwar village a police party led by SI Randhir removed the blue light from its vehicle and reached the spot.
The armed robbers pistols signalled the vehicle to stop with the intention of looting it. However, cops overpowered the youths who were later identified as Harinder alias Virender, of Saharanpur district of Uttar Pardesh and Rajnish alias Sonu of Teli Pura village under Chilkana police station.
Police recovered two pistols and four live cartridges from them.
Both were booked under section 398, 401 on the charge of making attempts to loot vehicles. They were also booked under section 25, 54 and 59 of Arms Act.
