Tribal sold, gangraped in MP

Morena, MP, July 10 (UNI) Five people were arrested in this district today for sale, purchase of a young tribal and repeatedly gangraping her.

''The victim's father died last year and she began residing with one Mahendrasingh Dhakad who sold her for Rs 30,000 to Ramnivas Gurjar, Koksingh Rawat and Sudeep Pandit through Mukesh Jaga and Veeru Gurjar on July 2. The trio took her to Sheopur district's Vijaypur forest and sexually assaulted her for a week,'' said Kailaras' Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) Amrit Meena.

Later, the trio worked out a deal for selling the victim for Rs 50,000. The tribal managed to give them the slip and reached Kailaras where she alerted police. Dhakad, Jaga, Ramnivas, Rawat and Pandit were apprehended.
