Sumeet Nair appointed FDCI Executive Director

Mumbai, July 10 (UNI) The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), the apex body of the fashion industry, today announced the appointment of Sumeet Nair as its Executive Director.

Mr Nair is not new to the fashion world as he has worked closely with leading members in the fraternity to draw up the blueprint of the Indian Fashion Week.

Welcoming Mr Nair on board today, FDCI Director General Rathi Vinay Jha said, ''Sumeet is an experienced hand that will help our Council meet some of our long and short term objectives. Today we are bigger than ever before and our event Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WLIFW) has grown manifold and is still going strong.'' ''With so many initiatives and new events underway and being planned for our industry, we are going to need a strong and qualified team to help us realise the vision we set out for our industry,'' he added.
