Patni partners with US's iTKO for testing services

New Delhi, July 10: Patni Computer Systems Ltd today said it has entered into partnership with the US-based testing software company iTKO to deliver service oriented architecture (SOA) testing services.

Through this partnership, the company will deploy the iTKO LISA SOA Testing solution at its verification and validation (V&V) centre of excellence (COE) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The pact will also help Patni to foray into SOA testing and will make it capable to offer end-to-end solutions for deploying SOA, a statement said.

''Our V&V team consistently exploits emerging opportunities to ensure faster delivery of quality software that offers increased stability and higher performance,'' company's Senior Vice President and Head of Product and Technology Initiatives Dilip Dhanuka said.

According to industry analysts, the market for IT services involved in delivering SOA applications will dominate the enterprise technology budget, with more than 33.7 billion dollars estimated to be spent by 2010.

Within this growing SOA services market, 25 per cent or 8.4 billion dollars of the annual estimate is expected to be allocated towards SOA Testing, a vital aspect of any successful implementation.
