Night temperatures rise in HP
Shimla, July 10 (UNI) Minimum temperatures rose by one to three degrees across Himachal Pradesh after light showers at a few places in the state during the last 24 hrs, the Met department said today.
The minimum temperature at Shimla rose by almost two degrees to 16.6 degrees in comparison to yesterday's 14.8 degrees, while it rose to 21.1 degrees at Sundernagar and 17.2 at Bhuntar.
The Met office said Bhuntar, Solan, Una and Palampur also recorded a rise in their night temperatures to 17.2, 20.5, 24.5 and 20.5 degree Celsius respectively.
The sky over the tribal districts of Chamba, Kullu, Kinnuar and Lahaul Spiti was covered by a thin layer of clouds with no reports of any rains from the districts during the last 24 hrs, the Met office said.
Jhanduta in Bilaspur district was the wettest place in the state with 32 mm rain during the last 24 hrs, while Kandaghat recorded nine mm rains followed by seven mm at Jubbal, five mm each at Sangla and Kumarsain and four mm rain at Shimla.
