Monica case: Cross-examination incomplete

Bhopal, July 10 (UNI) Cross-examination remained incomplete today in a local court hearing a fake passports case wherein underworld don Abu Salem and his starlet-girlfriend Monica Bedi stand accused.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Ajay Shrivastav's court witnessed completion of arguments and cross-examination by the Defence but the Prosecution's cross-examination would take place tomorrow.

Monica was present in court and represented by Advocate P C Bedi while Advocate R K Motwani was the Prosecutor.

In November 2001, a case was registered by the city police Crime Branch at Koh-i-Fiza Police Station against Salem, his wife Samira Jumani and Monica for having fake passports made at the Regional Passport Office using fictitious names Danish Baig, Rubina Baig and Fauzia Osman respectively.
