Minister Inderjit Singh visits BEML complexes
Mysore, July 10 (UNI) Union Minister of state for Defence Production Rao Inderjit Singh today visited the Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) Complexes at Bangalore, Kolar Gold Fields and Mysore.
The Minister was accompanied by BEML Chairman and Managing Director V R S Natarajan.
The Minister inspected the production facilities and witnessed equipment demonstrations.
Later, he inaugurated the new transmission assembly shop in the company's H and P plant at KGF complex, where all types of transmission for auto and earth movers would be manufactured.
The BEML had 70 per cent market share in the earth moving industry in the country and it exports product to over 42 countries.
Mr Natarajan said the BEML's share price had risen 62 times over the last five years and its recent follow on public offer of 49 lakh shares was oversubscribed 30 times.
The company plans to cross Rs 3,000 crore business mark during the year 2007-2008, he added.
