Former Bihar minister passes away

Patna, Jul 10 (UNI) Former Bihar minister Lal Babu Rai today died while travelling to New Delhi in the Sampoorna Kranti Express from here.

He was 64.

Mr Rai, who was suffering for long, breathed his last inside the train compartment.

A former minister of State in erstwhile RJD government, Mr Rai was elected from Ghorasahan constituency in the Bihar assembly.

Railway Minister and RJD president Lalu Prasad and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi had condoled the death of the former minister.

In a message, they described him as a leader, who stood for the cause of the under-privileged.
