Draft voters' list released

Mumbai, Jul 10 (UNI) According to the summary revision programme of voters' list of all legislative assembly constituencies in Maharashtra, draft voters' list was released here today.

The list will be available at all polling centres, tehsil offices, SDOs and district collectorate. Programme has been declared by Election Commission of India (ECI) considering Jaunary 1 as the eligiblity date.

People are requested to see the list and register their complaints objections, till July 24.

Special drives will be taken on July 14 and 15. The objections and claims will be cleared till August 21. The supplementary voters' list will be published till October 8. The final publication of the list will be held on October 11. These finally published voters' lists will be made available at the above said places from October 11 to 18 for people.

Voters will have to apply in respective forms regarding their complaints, objections, corrections or changes. The forms are available at these places and they will be accepted at the same places.

District Collector S Chokkalingam today appealed citizens, eligible voters, political parties, NGOs to cooperate in this drive.

Voters' lists with photographs of voters have been released in Chandwad, Igatpuri and Yeola talukas of the district.
