Mumbai, July 9 (UNI) More than one thousand contract labourers, working with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) contractors, will take out a 'Thali Morcha' tomorrow from Grant Road to BMC Commissioner's Bungalow as they had not received their wages for last four months.

Milind Ranade, General Secretary of Kachara Vahatuk Shramik Sangh, said they will take out a morcha from Grant road to Commissioner's Bangalow, carrying placards 'Chalo BMC Commissioner Ke Ghar Khana Khane.' These workers were employed by contrators, who were awarded contract by BMC's Solid Waste Management Department.

Ranade said these workers had worked without any holiday and were not paid the minimum wages. The contractor used to pay them Rs 80 per day and if they were absent for a day they were fined Rs 150.
