Indian rupee opened at 40.38/40 per USD
Mumbai, July 9: Indian Rupee keeps moving stronger, opened today at 40.38/40 per US dollar, as compared to the previous close on Friday at 40.44/45 against US unit.
The rupee has gained about 9.5 per cent against the dollar this year, propelled by surging capital inflows into Asia's third-largest economy, dealers said.
According to the dealers, the Indian unit was also boosted as Asian stocks rose after strong U.S. jobs data augured well for the global equity rally.
