Grenade explosion in Kashmir; four civilians hurt
Srinagar, July 9 (UNI) Four civilians were critically wounded in a grenade explosion in the downtown city this evening, a police spokesman said.
He said suspected militants hurled a hand grenade toward the security forces near the Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial (JLNM) Hospital in Rainawari area of the downtown city at around 2045 hrs.
The spokesman said four civilians were wounded in the explosion.
They have been rushed to the Sri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital here where the condition of the two of the injured was stated to be critical, he added.
The two seriously wounded have been identified as Nazir Ahmed and Mohammad Shafi, the spokesman said.
