Hyderabad, July 9: The city police today booked cases against Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's brother and his son, based on a complaint lodged by Congress MLA P Janardhan Reddy's wife Sulochanamma.

The cases were booked against Chief Minister's brother Ravindranath Reddy and his son Sumadhur Reddy, police said. The Congress MLA's wife lodged a complaint with the police that the father-son duo attacked her son and relatives last night. However, Mr. Ravindranath Reddy and his son were admitted to a corporate hospital as they fell ill, last night.

Meanwhile, Congress MLA Janardhan Reddy, whose son and son-in-law were arrested and remanded to judicial custody after the Chief Minister's brother lodged a complaint against them, has been sitting in the Banjara hills police station since this morning demanding that the police immediately arrest the Chief Minister's relatives.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President and former Union Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, who arrived at the police station and expressed his solidarity with the Congress MLA, alleged that the police was not arresting the Chief Minister's brother and his son even after the cases were registered.

He demanded that the police arrest them immediately.
