Blueline kills motorcyclist in hit-and-run case
New Delhi, July 9 (UNI) Capital's 'killer bluelines' today claimed yet another life here with a bus hitting a 45-year-old in Cantonment area of South-West Delhi this evening.
It was a hit-and-run case in which the blueline bus, plying on route no 764, hit a motorcyclist at about 1830 hrs near the Palam Underpass, said the police.
''Sudhir (45), who lived in Palam Vihar colony, died on the spot.
He was taken to the Deen Dayal Upadhayay Hospital where he was declared brought dead.'' The driver managed to flee the spot, plying between Nehru Place and Najafgarh.
No arrests have been made so far.
Earlier in the day, another blueline, running on route no 33 (Bhajanpura to Noida), hit a motorcycle in Gokulpuri area of North-East Delhi, injuring 20-year-old Sonu and his mother Seema (38).
The motorcycle was hit from behind at about 1720 hrs.
Both were taken to the G T B Hospital where the condition of the woman is said to be serious.
