AES inks pact with Power Trading Corporation
Mumbai, Jul 9 (UNI) AES Chhattisgarh Energy Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AES Corporation of the US, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Power Trading Corporation (PTC) India Ltd, to sell upto 800 MW power from its 1200 MW coal-based Thermal Power Project set up in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.
The plant is expected to be commissioned by 2011-12 where the power produced is proposed to be sold on either competitive bidding or on merchant basis, a release here today said.
PTC India Ltd (PTC) is a Government of India initiated Public-Private Partnership, with a greater focus on commercially vibrant power market in India, the release added.
