YSR reaffirms commitment to AP's development
Hyderabad, July 8 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said his desire was to ensure the state's retained its pre-eminent position among the developed states.
Thanking people who greeted him on his birthday, Dr Reddy said creation of infrastructure, employment opportunties, utilisation of resources and welfare of the poor were among the priorities of his government.
The state would become 'Harithandhra Pradesh' soon, fulfilling the aspirations of the people with completion of various schemes including construction of houses, irrigation projects and welfare measures on schedule.
The government had not only arranged loans for women at a minimum interest of 25 paise but also taken up several measures to create employment opportunities for the youth under 'Udoyoga Sree' Scheme.
The government had secured approval for Polavaram Project, Americal Consulate, IIT and Fab Fity. The Telugu Ganga, Vamsadhara and Pulichintala Projects which had been pending for 25 years would be completed, a press release quoting him said here.
