VUDA launches tree plantation programme

Visakhapatnam, July 8 (UNI) The Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) today launched a massive tree plantation programme at Rushikonda, Thotlakonda and Kailasagiri in the city.

Launching the programme, VUDA Chairman P Raju and Vice-Chairman G Venkatram Reddy said the plans were on to develop the 20 acres at Thotlakonda.

Students from Visakha Valley School, Vignan College and Andhra University also participated in the plantation programme.

Meanwhile, the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) today organised a plantation drive to mark the 100-days run up to the fourth World Military Games, beginning at Hyderabad on October Seven.
