Shepherd killed in freak accident

Jamnagar, July 8 (UNI) A shepherd was killed in a freak accident at Udaipur village in Jamjodhpur taluka of this district when the buffaloes he was leading ran in a frenzy, dragging the man along and fatally injured him.

Police said Jethabhai T Bharvad (42) was leading the buffaloes to a pond. He had a rope tied around one animal and had wrapped the other end of the rope around his hand.

However, for some reason, one of the animals panicked and started running. The other buffaloes followed suit. The buffalo which Bharvad was holding to, also began to run thereby dragging him along. Bharvad was severely injured in the melee and died before he could be reached to the hospital.
