Nepali Congress expresses grief over Chandra Shekhar's death
Kathmandu, July 8 (UNI) The Nepali Congress expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former Indian Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar today.
The central committee meeting, scheduled to be held at Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala's residence, Baluwatar, was deferred after the news of Chandra Shekhar's death.
The party also remembered his role in the establishment of democracy in Nepal.
A resolution passed during the meeting stated that South Asia had lost a farsighted leader.
