Complaint registered against MLA for beating Sarpanch

Sangli, Maharashtra, Jul 8 (UNI) The Kavathe-Mahankal tehsil police today registered a complaint against six persons including MLA Ajit Ghorpade for allegedly beating a village Sarpanch.

According to police, village Sarpanch Nandkumar Ghadge was beaten up because Ghorpade was unhappy over a panel put up by the victim against the accused in a local society election held today at Kavathe-Mahankal.

Annoyed over the panel, the MLA and five other persons beat up the village Sarpanch, the complaint said, police added.
