Boy trampled to death by elephant

Bangalore, July 8 (UNI) An eight-year-old boy was trampled to death by an elephant while he was offering banana to it at the Yediyuru Siddalingeshwara temple in Siddaganga, near here today.

Police said a family of four, the parents and their two sons, had come to the temple for offering prayers.

While the boys were offering bananas to the elephant, in the absence of their parents, the elder brother Sachin was trampled by the elephant. Immediately, his younger brother informed their parents about the incident.

By the time the parents arrived Sachin had died.

The devotees ransacked the office computer and other equipments, as no help came from the authorities of the temple.
