Apollo group condoles Chandra Shekhar's death

New Delhi, July 8 (UNI) Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, where former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar underwent treatment, said he was suffering from multiple myeloma for the past few years.

Chandra Shekhar died here at the hospital this morning at 0845 after a prolonged treatment in Delhi as well as in the US.

He was under their treatment here for the past two and a half months. Prior to this he was also being treated in the US for the same disease.

All members of the Apollo group have offered their heartfelt condolences to the family of the departed leader.
