Warrant against Dr Ramesh Chandra for evidence

Patna, Jul 7 (UNI) A local sessions court here today issued warrant of arrest against famous neurosurgeon of Bihar Dr Ramesh Chandra for evidence in his kidnapping case.

The additonal district and sessions judge of Patna S P N Singh issued this warrant against Dr Chandra when he failed to appear before the court for his deposition in the case as a witness.

Earlier, Dr Chandra appeared in the court on June 16, 2007 but failed to appear on subsequent dates for his further examination as a witness.

Dr Chandra was kidnapped for ransom in 2003. Hearing in the case is on progress.

Alotgether ten accused were facing the trial in the case, including suspended JD(U) MLA Sunil Pandey of Piro assembly constituency.
