ULFA guns down trader in Asom

Guwahati, July 7 (UNI) Suspected ULFA militants shot dead a trader in upper Asom's Tinsukia district last night, police said today.

Four ULFA rebels picked up Phuleswar Neog from his residence at Nameseki village under Talap police station last night.

Police said ULFA suspected Neog to be an informer for the security forces. His bullet-ridden body was later recovered.

Meanwhile, one Pranay Das, who was undergoing treatment at Asom Medical College and Hospital, Dibrugarh, after sustaining injuries in the June 30 blasts at Tinsukia, died this morning.
