Thar express cancelled due to flood

Jaipur, July 7(UNI) The friendship train, Thar Express has been cancelled at the last minute due to flood in Jodhpur division.

According to Railway sources, the train which was to depart last night from Jodhpur has been canclled due to water logging on the Balodhara rail section on Jodhpur-Barmer route.

The railway authorities had informed of the development to their Pakistani counter parts and the departure of the train from Pakistan side also also cancelled.

Chief Public Relations Manager of the North western railways KL Inkiya said ''the departure of the Thar Express has been cancelled for twenty four hours but the train departure hinges on improving the flood situation in western Rajasthan''.
